searching for clues...

Ned Kelly is probably Australia's most infamous son.
Ned Kelly was captured at Glenrowan, following a seige at Ann Jones' Inn. The inn was burnt to the ground as was the next buliding. The third one, a brick construction has also gone. At present a team is looking for artifacts related to the seige. It is amazing what is being found. The floor plan of the last building, a cellar, bones (animal), names, coins are amongst the treasure. The most prized are two bullets that are believed to date from the seige period.
There is a good deal of media coverage relating to this unearthing as it is a unique happening in Australia....

in the driver's seat...

I have always wondered what it would be like to drive a tram. Well I guess this is the closest that I will get. Graham and I, with an hour to spare, took the free tram around the peripheral of Melbourne's CBD. It is well worth the time; being informative and enjoyable but a little crowded at times!

The city busker has been put on a new level...

As part of a promotion at Myer - they have brought in from New York this busker. He certainly was a hit when we spotted him on Monday!
Apparently he performs like this in New York on even the coldest days - WOW...

proud and I know it...

Kevin's turkey...

smokey sunset...

This is the sun setting one April autumn evening. It is taken on the Tatong / Benalla Road. The sky was full of smoke from 'fuel reduction' burning in the nearby hills...

autumn in the valley...

How beautiful? This autumn scene was captured on the Tatong / Tolmie Road. The sun was setting and the air was full of haze caused by surrounding 'fuel reduction' burns in the nearby hills...
