I noticed these growths on an old tree when walking around Benalla Lake. Some of the fungus was growing up the cracks in the bark making the tree look like it was smouldering - thought it was very pretty...

Pretty shot. Fungus climbing wooden posts has to be better than flames licking at the posts!

Is that fungus or fungii?
I thought fungus was a sign of dampness, very pretty
